Investing for Income
So what can you do to keep generating a consistent level of income on your investments. There are several options. Firstly, if it looks too good to be true it probably is. We don't touch investments like that. Full stop. Despite the appalling efforts by the banks to ruin us all and run off into the sunset with obscene pension payments, investing in quality, stock-picking funds over the last 10 years would still have shown a positive return.
The chart shows the returns on two funds which we often recommend as Core holdings - M&G Corporate Bond and Standard Life Investments UK Equity High Income fund, over the last 10 years.
